How to Sell Your Car on Car Mandi
Selling your car on Car Mandi is simple. Instead of dealing with multiple buyers and endless negotiations, you can list your car in a time-bound auction where verified buyers compete with bids. Follow the steps below to get started.
Step 1 - Enter Your Car Details
Start by providing basic information about your car. This includes:
- Make and model
- Year and variant
- City and registration details
- Demand price (your expected price)
- Reserve price (minimum price you're willing to accept)
- Description and key features
The reserve price remains hidden from buyers and ensures your car does not sell below your expectations. If bids do not reach the reserve price, the auction will show "Reserve Not Met."
Step 2 - Book an Inspection
Before your car goes live in auction, it must go through a physical inspection. The inspection helps buyers understand the vehicle's condition before bidding and improves trust in the auction process. The inspection typically covers:
- Exterior and interior condition
- Engine and mechanical components
- Suspension and electronics
- Vehicle photos and condition notes
Our inspection team visits the vehicle location at the scheduled time to complete the evaluation.
Step 3 - Complete the Onboarding Process
Once your inspection is scheduled, you will complete the onboarding process for the auction listing. After this step:
- Your inspection is confirmed
- Your listing is prepared for auction
- Your car moves to pending inspection status
Once the inspection is completed, your vehicle becomes ready to be listed in auction.
Step 4 - Launch Your Auction
After inspection, your car is listed on Car Mandi and the auction begins. During the auction:
- Buyers place competitive bids
- You can track activity from your seller dashboard
- You can see the number of bids, bidders, and time remaining
This helps you monitor demand and market interest in your car.
Step 5 - Accept the Winning Bid
When the auction ends, the highest bid is presented to you. If the bid meets your reserve price, you can accept the winning bid and proceed with the sale. If the reserve price is not met, you will still have the option to accept, reject, or negotiate with the highest bidder.
Step 6 - Complete the Transaction
Once the bid is accepted, the buyer and seller connect to complete the transaction. At this stage:
- Payment is arranged between buyer and seller
- Vehicle handover is completed
- Car Mandi facilitates the connection between both parties
